Hi, I’m Shaz.

Registered Nurse · Health Educator · Founder of H3

For years, I kept asking the same question:

Why are so many people working so hard to feel better and still feeling stuck?

I’ve spent much of my career working in health and mental health, supporting people through some of the harder moments of their lives. And over time, I kept noticing the same thing.

We often talk about health in separate pieces. Mental health over here. Sleep over there. Nutrition, stress, relationships and movement somewhere else.

But that wasn’t how I was seeing people experience their lives. And it wasn’t how I experienced mine either.

In my 30s, I went through my own period of struggling with my health and spent nearly two years away from work. I was a nurse. I knew a lot about health. And yet knowing what I was “supposed” to do didn’t mean I understood what was happening in my own body or what I needed to move forward.

That experience changed the way I thought about health.

The more I learned about the nervous system, stress physiology, sleep, nourishment, our experiences, relationships and the environments we live in, the more the pieces started connecting.

Health rarely comes down to one thing.

How we feel and function is shaped by many parts of our lives and by how those parts interact.

That realization became the foundation for H3.

H3 is a place to explore the science behind those connections without turning health into another full-time job. I take research and complex ideas and make them easier to understand, practical and relevant to everyday life.

Because I don’t believe most people need more information.

I believe we need better ways to make sense of what we already know.

To ask:
What’s working with me?
What might be shaping this?
What do I need now?

And to understand ourselves with a little more curiosity and a little less judgment.

I believe that’s where meaningful change begins.
